Things to Know Before You Go Bananas

Reception Hours
We’re open daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00PM. Arriving outside those times? No stress — just email us in advance to arrange your check-in.
Check-Out Time
Check-out is at 10:00 AM sharp. Late check-outs may incur additional charges.
Quiet Hours
To keep things chill for everyone, quiet hours start at 10:00 PM nightly.
Security Deposit & ID
A $50 security deposit (per person) and a valid government-issued photo ID are required at check-in.
Lockers
Lockers are available for a small fee — perfect for stashing your valuables while you enjoy the beach.
Climate
There’s no air conditioning, but all rooms are fitted with ceiling fans and blessed with that cool ocean breeze.
Card Surcharge
All credit and debit card payments incur a 1.7% surcharge.
Group Bookings
Booking multiple beds in a shared dorm? We’ll do our best to keep your group together, but can’t guarantee it.

Guest Agreement & House Rules

By checking in, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions

You must be 18+ years old and acknowledge that your stay is at your own risk.
Mad Monkey staff may enter rooms or areas at any time to ensure guest safety.
Follow all directions from staff — your wellbeing is our top priority.
We’re not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Only paying guests are permitted on the premises.
No noise after 10:00 PM – this is not a party hostel.
No alcohol in rooms — it’s only allowed (in moderation) in common areas.
Guests are liable for any damages to property or furnishings.
Check-out is at 10:00 AM – late fees apply after that.
Bed swapping without permission? You’ll be charged for both beds.
No smoking or vaping anywhere in the hostel. Doing so forfeits your deposit.
Absolutely no drugs. Possession or use will lead to immediate eviction and possible police involvement.
All E-Bike Batteries are banned from the Hostel. Please seek alternative accommodation if you have an E-Bike. This is for the safety of everyone.
Triggering the fire alarm without cause incurs a $1,800 call-out fee, split among roommates unless someone owns up.
Disruptive or unruly behavior can result in eviction with no refund.
